6th assignment: Rule of Thirds
These Pictures are taken at butterfly lake in the Uintas. As you can see, the horizon line is on the first of the thirds, and the hill/mountains in the back are at the top third, the top left and right interest points.
My plan of action for this rule of thirds assignment, is to take my little brother and go to the park near my house. There is beautiful backgrounds to take pictures there such as a row of vines and painted flowers across a wall near a playground. I will have him stand so that he is on the right side of the frame, facing into it. His eyes will be at the upper right interest point. Where he will be standing and looking to, there will be a medium size shrub or bush at the lower left interest point. I would like to do these pictures in black and white, or sepia. I haven't decided which yet, but I know I dont want regular color. I will make sure to consider the color values of the background and how they compare with my brothers clothes, and skin tone. I dont want to be extremely close to him so that I only have his face, but I dont want to be so far away or zoomed out so that his whole body and the bottom of the wall are in the picture. When I take the shot, I only want the top half of him, maybe from the waist up so that I don't have distracters such as the bricks near the bottom of the wall, or the chipped parts of the wall where there is paint missing below where he would be standing. If I were to take the shot with his whole body in it and with the bottom of the wall, you would most likely not look at him, the subject and instead, look at the uneven paint job on the botttom of the wall or the cracked and chipped bricks. Although i might take a few shots with his whole body because it might add some texture to the picture, instead of just a wall. I also plan to take pictures of landscape, because Mr. Davis said that landscaes show the rule of thirds well. My plan of action is to drive to a spot in the Uintas where the horizon line has a large lake. Farther back are some hills that i have photographed before. I want the hill on the right to be at the upper right interest point, and your eyes to be drawn down to the lower left interest point where the hill slopes down. The lake I mentioned before will sit at the center of the thirds, and maybe parts of the shoreline, depending on the angle I shoot from, and how far up my shot is from the hills. The tops of the hills will be at the top third of the picture. My horizon line will be slightly lower than the center, right below the lake, and below that is a grassy field, which there probably wont be much of once I zoom in, or crop the pictures afterward. I hope to take these pictures either at sunrise this weekend, or at sundown, when the sky looks the prettiest and has the nicest looking colors to photograph, so that the pictures dont have such a harsh light coming straight down and casting shadows on the hills, making you miss out on the beautiful view I am trying to capture. I dont however, want to take these in black and white. These will be in regular color, so you get the full effect of the gorgeous hills, and lake and sunrise or sunset.

4th assignement:leave me alone already!
I chose these pictures because they most demonstrated how shutter speed works. In eachof them, I took pictures of salami and niki doing crazy random monements. and of course I couldnt choose just one. so i picked 5. XD
i first set my shutter speed to 1/20 and had them move. as you can see, the camera caught the back ground clearly, but they of course, are very blurry and you can tsee them well. ha this assignment was fun <3
